Appointments

Consultations are by appointment and a full appointment system is run throughout the day.

A doctor is available by telephone to triage urgent medical conditions. However, you may not necessarily see, or speak to the doctor of your choice.

If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know so that someone else has the opportunity of using it.

We keep an appointments system

You can consult any of the doctors at the surgery, but please try to keep the same doctor for the same problem.
We would like to remind patients that the time available per appointment is 10 minutes. It may not be possible to deal with more than one problem per consultation. We appreciate your help with this.

If you wish to make an appointment for a particular purpose such as a full medical examination or a cervical smear, please inform the receptionist so that she can ensure enough time is allocated.

Nurses

We have treatment room sessions every day where nurses will do the following procedures:

Cervical Smears
Dressings
Blood Tests
Blood Pressure
Pill Checks
Injections
Travel advice and immunisations
Ear syringing
Dietary Advice

Some of our nurses are trained in specialist areas, e.g.

Diabetes
Asthma
COPD
Smoking cessation
Coronary heart disease

When you make an appointment, please tell the receptionist what you are coming for so that you will see the appropriate nurse and that the right amount of time is given for the procedure
