Child health

Doctor Fiona Peckham has a Diploma in Child Health and is has had lots of hands on experience with her own three children. She runs the child health clinic on a Tuesday morning but is always happy to see you and your children in any of her normal surgery hours if that is more convenient for you.

6week baby checks are combined with your postnatal check. These can be booked through our reception team, although Dr Peckham will ususally try to phone you soon after your baby is born to see how things are going and will arrange it with you.

Immunisations

Our nurses hold child vaccination clinics on a Thursday morning. If this is not convenient then Dr Peckham will be happy to see you in normal surgery time but will need a double appointment to be booked.

Ill children

If your child is ill please do contact the surgery for advice . We run a triage service so when you call we will ask for your child's details and for a brief description of what is wrong and then a doctor or nurse will call you back. You will then either be offered advice or an appointment . If your child needs to be seen we will always be able to see the on the same day.
