Dr.James Moxon wishes to pass on the sad news of the death of his father Dr.Bill Moxon on 9th April 2020.
His death was peaceful and not thought to be related to coronavirus.
He practised as a GP from the early 1960s from his home in West Park and from the Shaw Lane Surgery and in 1985 became one of the founding partners of Burton Croft Surgery where he continued until his retirement in 1990.
He was Honorary Medical Officer at Yorkshire County Cricket Club for many years and was also instrumental in setting up Exercise ECG testing for the pioneering Leeds based ‘Heartwatch’ cardiac rehabilitation programme. He will be remembered most, however, as a caring family doctor who always found time for his patients and their difficulties.
‘Young’ Dr. Moxon is aware that many of his Dad’s patients and their families still remember him with great fondness.
