We are pleased to offer a steroid injection clinic once a month for patients suffering from a range of musculoskeletal conditions. This service is designed to provide targeted pain relief and reduce inflammation in affected joints, tendons, or soft tissues.
What Are Steroid Injections?
Steroid (corticosteroid) injections are anti-inflammatory medicines that can be delivered directly into joints, muscles, or soft tissues to help relieve pain and swelling. They are commonly used to treat conditions such as:
- Osteoarthritis
- Bursitis
- Tendonitis
- Frozen shoulder
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Trigger finger
- Joint pain due to inflammation
Who Is It For?
This service is suitable for patients with:
- Ongoing musculoskeletal pain that has not responded to first-line treatments such as physiotherapy or medications.
- A diagnosis of an inflammatory or degenerative condition that could benefit from localised steroid treatment.
All patients must first be assessed by a GP or an appropriate clinician before being referred to the injection clinic.
How do I book?
If you have symptoms of any of the above conditions and would like to consider treatment options, including steroid injection, please send in an online request.
If you are unable to send an online request, please call the surgery and our reception team will be able to do this on your behalf.
