September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Around 1,900 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every year. Thanks to ongoing improvements in the quality of treatment and care, around eight out of every 10 children diagnosed will now survive and there are currently over 40,000 childhood cancer survivors in the UK.

Childhood Cancer symptoms are very different to adult cancer symptoms. They often can be very similar to those of other childhood illnesses.

The Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group has a useful page on the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer. It is split up into symptoms in different parts of the body and symptoms that can affect the whole body- Signs and symptoms of childhood cancer (cclg.org.uk)
