How to book an appointment

You can book an appointment the following ways:

Evening and Weekend appointments

Evening appointments

We also have some additional appointments available in the late afternoon and evening for on the day needs. You may be asked by one of the receptionists whether you would be able to attend an appointments in our local area, in order for you to be seen quicker.

We offer telephone medication reviews with a Clinical Pharmacist on an evening.

Weekend appointments

Our weekend service is located at Ireland Wood Surgery (LS16 6FR).

You can book appointments with the following clinicians:

GPs, Health Care Assistants, Nurses, Pharmacist, Physiotherapists.

A Long Action Reversible Contraception (LARC) Clinic is also available at the extended access clinic. If you would like an Implant or Coil, you will need to be booked in for a telephone discussion with the LARC GP who will then book you in for the fitting.

Appointments with other Healthcare Professionals

There are times where a GP appointment might not be the best fit for your specific concern and seeing another clinician could be more suitable. Our team is here to help you navigate the most appropriate care path for your situation and ensure you get the right care that fits your needs.

What to do if we are not open

Call 111 or go online (NHS 111). You will be asked a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you. NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

If you call the surgery during the weekend, your call will be diverted to our Ireland Wood hub (between 9am to 4pm). The Receptionist will be able to assist you if you need medical help.

Our phone lines divert to 111 between 6pm to 8am on weekdays and from 4pm on the weekends. 111 will be able to assess and advise if you have any medical concerns.
